The Safir Alliance is a space-opera conworld, with technology about the same as modern-day Earth (or maybe a little bit ahead), psionics, and faster-than-light travel. The safir are first among equals in the government, etc. of the eponymous supraplanetary organization, though they are far from its only species; on the safir homeworlds of Daia and Lessa alone, one can find dragons, nagas, humans, avens, coralfolk, dolphin-like sapients, and giant sapient psychic spiders. Its present day is the same time as Earth's, though its days are only 20 hours long, and its year 15 Earth months. Also of note is that since first contact with Earth in 1999 AD, there has been significant economic, etc. interchange between Earth and the Safir Alliance.
