As for features that deviates from this, he has long, smooth black hair that slightly hangs over his forehead and droops down the sides of his face (think Leon from Resident Evil). Jackson has a combat injury that makes him distinct: there is a bullet-sized hole (9mm) above the left side of the upper lip, revealing his pearlescent white canine teeth. Jackson's toned body is akin to that of a weightlifter; although his muscles aren't so pronounced like a bodybuilder, his general shape has noticable 'bulk'. Inventory - Items - IFAK (Individual First Aid Kid) Description: The IFAK is just a first-aid kit wearing fancy camo. It contains: tourniquets, bandages and gauze, bacitracin antibiotic ointment and povidone-iodine topical solution, and water purification tablets. Quantity: 1 - AN/PVS-21 (Night Vision Goggles) Description: The AN/PVS-21 is a low profile night vision goggle that is especially optimal for Spec OPS. It is mounted on Jackson's helmet and has an horizontal FoV of 40 degrees when intensified (night vision) and 165 degrees when unaided, 90 degrees vertical. The goggles are water-proof, being able to be submerged up to 3 meters underwater. Quantity: 1 - Mk. 7 Helmet Description: The standard issue helmet of the British Army, it is cover in desert camo and is projected to be able to prevent at least 50% of penetrations by rounds moving at 650 m/s (2,132 fps) Quantity: 1 - Mk.4 Osprey Body Armour Vest Description: The Mk.4 Osprey's Body Armour is a Level-3 type of armour which means it is designed to protect against small-calibre and most hunting rifle rounds. It also carries around 9 rifle-magazine pouches (2 magazines each) and 1 pistol-magazine pouch (2 magazines each). Quantity: 1 - Weapons - L119A2 CQB (Close-Quarters Combat) Description: The L119A2 is the British Army designation of the Colt Canada C7 rifle. It uses 5.56x45mm NATO rounds from a STANAG detachable box-magazine with 30-rounds capability. It sports a sound suppressor, laser point/illuminator, fore grip, Trijicon ACOG & mini red dot reflex sight. Effective range from character: Effective Range: 400m (440 yards) Normal Power: The L119A2 fires 5.56x45mm NATO rounds with a muzzle velocity of 900m/s (3000ft/s), but this does gradually drop at longer ranges. It has a fire rate of 700-900 rounds per minute. Quantity: 1 - L131A1 Description: The L131A1 is the British Army designation for the Glock 17. It fires 9x19mm Parabellum rounds from a 17-round detachable magazine. The only attachment it has is a lanyard connecting it to it's holster. Effective range from character: 50m (55 yards) Normal Power: The L131A1 fires 9x19mm Parabellum rounds down range at a muzzle velocity of 375m/s (1,230ft/s). Since it is semi-auto, the rounds per minute depends on the user's fingers. Quantity: 1 - L109A2 Description: The L109A2 is the British Army designation for the Swiss HG-85 frag grenade. Effective range from character: Can be thrown 20 meters by the average joe. Normal Power: The L109A2 has an explosive yield of 155g of TNT. Quantity: 3 - CTS Mini Flash-Bang Model 7290M Description: This model of flash-bang is standard issue in the UKSF. Effective range from character: Can be thrown 20 meters by the average joe. Normal Power: This flash-bang can produce a 175db and 4-5 million candela 'bang.' This is enough to instantly disorient and briefly blind opponents. Quantity: 3 - British Army Survival/Combat Knife Description: It's just a small knife, not much to say here. Quantity: 1 Skills & Abilities - Language Fluency English (northern British dialect) - Vocational History British SAS Trooper Description: The British SAS is one of the most prestigious and best special forces in the world; Troopers in the British SAS are trained to vigorously fight, particularly in counter-terrorism and Spec OPS. - Education History British Army (Weaponry, combat/fighting, joint warfare) British Army (Weaponry, combat/fighting, joint warfare) Home schooled (both during adoption and possession in the British Military) Home schooled (both during adoption and possession in the British Military) - Noncombat Skills Self-care Self-care Description: Jackson doesn't know about much things outside the Military, but he at least knows how to obtain basic needs (legally) and take care of his own body. - Comb Training/Skills/Experience - Royal Marines Training Royal Marines Training Training: The first phase of Royal Marines Training consists of basic skills like camouflage and concealment, before moving on to things like weapons handling and more advanced soldiering. The second phase tests one's marksmanship and map reading, and give you an overall assessment during some of the exercises. Then is moves on to amphibious soldiering and close quarter fighting, as well as learning how to deploy from helicopters and assault boats. The third and final test pushes soldiers to the limit through several test which are: the two-mile endurance course, the nine-mile speed march, the Tarzan assault course, and then the 30-mile march. - British SAS Training British SAS Training Training: This one is extremely rigorous. There's a reason it has a 90% fail rate and some soldiers have even died doing this. SAS Training is similar to the previous, but much more amplified. Paranormal Abilities - Ability List (6 abilities) - Accelerated Exercise Description: When Jackson undergoes exercise, the positive effects of exercise are amplified by 2x the normal rate. Limits: Jackson cannot naturally surpass the peak-human limit. Other: This ability has allowed Jackson (with the support of his training) to reach peak-human status. - Enhanced Skeletal System Description: By far the hardest feature to implement into his body, Jackson possesses a skeletal system that is, simply put, 'stronger.' All bones in his body have a yield strength 6x stronger when compared to that of their normal human counterpart. Other: This ability gives Jackson's bones the strange quality of being pearlescent white. The material this is isn't name, but it comes from the recovered remai-[censored}. - Body Performance Booster Description: This only activates when Jackson's fight-or-flight response is activated, but when it is, his body's athletic performances will increase by +25%. Repercussions: If this is activated, Jackson will experience a fever 5 hours later, the duration being proportional to the length of time this ability was used for. - Enhanced Reaction Time Description: Whereas the normal human's maximum reaction time is 0.15 milliseconds, Jackson's is 0.05 milliseconds. - Enhanced Pain Tolerance Description: Although Jackson experiences the same magnitude as a human, it takes quite a bit more pain to make him react. Repercussions: Jackson will sometimes have troubles with identifying pains that indicate a dangerous injury. - Enchanced Psychological Trauma Recovery Description: The sad reality of warfare is that it often results in psychological trauma. Jackson's response to psychological trauma is normal, but he is physically capable of recovering quickly. Background World Information: Jackson's world is almost identical to the real-world Earth but with some difference to world history. The changes start from the Falklands War and continues to the present day, but it isn't a drastic change. The specific events that happen which are unique to this universe is: the discovery of an alien spacecraft by the British, and the creation of two (three?) super soldiers who's existence gets leaked to the public, prompting Geneva convention to get involved and being granted human rights. Although controversy still lingers on, the fate of the secret technology is unknown and there isn't too much legacy. Character Background: In mid-1982, during the start of the Falklands War, the naval task force of the Royal Navy (Britain) had set off on their journey to the Falklands to retake the island from the Argentinians. During the task force's passing through the Northern Atlantic Ocean, a suspicious object was detected entering the atmosphere plunging into the sea and was successfully recovered. The object was then taken back to British land where it was examined by the British Military and BAE Systems. This object wasn't a new, experiment spy satellite concocted by the Russians, but rather, this was actually an alien spacecraft. With this new technology in hand, the British Military handed the technology to BAE Systems in hopes that they could develop a new, game changing technology in secret. BAE Systems started several projects utilizing the recovered technology, and one of them — 'Project Hellion' — was the first to be completed. The result of this project was a super soldier, male and part German Shepherd with unique abilities, and he was named Jackson. Jackson was kept in containment, and although he was treated well with access to food & water, education, hygiene and even given entertainment, BAE Systems continuously tested and experimented on Jackson against his will. This continued until he was 15 when his entire existence — including Project Hellion and except the technology — was exposed, causing rioting and prompting the Geneva Convention to intervene. The Geneva Convention outlawed the creation/production and forced Britain to give him human rights, effectively making him a citizen. Despite Jackson being granted freedom, his social life often consisted of alienation and controversy, but he braved through it for the most part. However, the most intriguing thing about his life after being released from containment is that Jackson decided to pursue a career in the military. Jackson believed, "it was the only thing I was made to do." Jackson began basic training for the Royal Marines when he was 16, and then stepped up to the Special Air Service (SAS) when he was 20. As of current, Jackson is still serving with the Special Air Service in Afghanistan, fighting and carrying out special operations. Extra Information - Something I forgot to mention There are a few details I didn't want to mention in the story to keep it small and easy to follow along. Firstly, Jackson's last name wasn't the result of him being adopted into a family when he was freed from containment, he actually choose that name for himself meaning. His family is his own blood. Although he wasn't adopted, Jackson was taken care of by a normal family (the 'Wilsons') with military-grade medical professionals assisting in Jackson's care.
