Aurora: Common Ground

What was once a large powerful starship has now become a grounded facility at the common ground providing services to students, faculty, and public.

A large vessel roughly 180 feet long and 120 feet tall rests at the common ground within walking distance of the campus. The giant ship's hull is created out of a crystal material harder than hardened steel that shimmers in a rainbow of hues earning in the name Aurora. The vessel breached in from an alternate reality and although it's no longer properly able to fly through space, its other facilities were modified to serve the campus and customers.

The ship has its own fusion reactor able to output 300kW of power with large capacitor banks able to handle the demand of heavy load during working hours. Two drones, one large ball shaped, and one flying disc-shaped, wander around the ship keeping it tidy and in good repair.

The ship offers the following amenities:

Fully functional medbay - A slightly futuristic medbay that has an auto-doc able to deal with basic injuries and perform simple surgeries. Advanced medical work requires a proficient doctor be on hand. The auto-doc is only programmed to perform on human-like subjects, cyborgs, and starwisps. A doctor could manually perform operations to handle other creatures.

Shipyard/Garage - A full construction and modification suite that can work on small spacecraft/aircraft, vehicles, and metal/crystal machines. Complete with a large CNC machine, cutters/welders, lifts/jacks, various tools, and tractor-beam to hold heavy equipment within the bay.
*Parts of the bay can be rented out for low cost to public, or free for limited time slots to students and faculty.

Drone Bay - A medium sized drone bay upstairs overlooking the shipyard has tools available for the construction of simple drones, robots, computers, and systems so long as the materials are provided. Programming tools, 3D printers, small CNC machines, and advanced manipulator arms are available to patrons.

Sensor Suite - An advanced hyper-spectral, multi-faceted sensor suite is available on the ship. Items that need to be scanned must be placed outside of the ship on a large pad positioned in front of the ship. The sensors system will output detailed scans of objects available in multiple formats and can be used in conjunction with the drone bay or shipyard.
Passive sensors are open to the public but active sensors require approval from authorized personnel to avoid harm to public such as x-raying people outside of the ship.

Bunker - The Aurora has been registered as a bunker location by the Marsilion government and will be made available in times of emergency. During crisis the ship will disable secondary systems to direct power to its shields.

Multi-Purpose Rooms - The Aurora offers multi-purpose rooms. 5 Large, 4 Small, and one Medium with Kitchenette. All available for rent by timeslot or by day. Not for use as a residence. All rooms provide power points, and the entire ship is climate controlled.
