| Mid-morning up in the mountains outside of town strange noises were heard followed by distant small explosions. The source was not identified and only lasted roughly 20 minutes. Observations from hikers describe seeing small brilliant flashes near the mountain tops accompanying the strange sounds. Investigation turned up small explosion sites around the mountains where snow, and foliage was utterly destroyed by scorch marks. Rocks at the strike locations turned glassy in appearance but otherwise mundane in nature. Each explosion site had a roughly 2 meters in diameter sphere of damage. No casualties were reported and all of the explosion sites were far from any foot paths nor anything noteworthy of being a target.
