  • Description:
    Given the kobold's height, the witch's hat is the obvious first thing seen. Its brim is wide, with a spool of thread and needle tucked in its band - making it very easy to tell what this kobold is all about. However, the appearance of this and their dress often varies day-to-day in style and design, but never far from the basic form of the hat, shawl, dress, and matching sleeves and leggings. Colors and patterns vary, but are always well-coordinated and of fine fabric. The hat is only barely lifted enough so she can see who she's speaking to, making it hard to see much more than the edge of yellowish eyes, but something gives people the sense they shouldn't look into them.
    Below all that though is a stereotypically slender and frail, ultramarine blue-scaled kobold, with a few larger and shiny copper scales and thorns accenting in several places, notably at her jaw and near the base and tips of her ears... which in themselves are another big feature. As in, as long as down down to her hips and wide, potentially mistaken for hair from far away, it's as if the kobold was part floppy-eared rabbit. They frequently bump against her arms when body language requires she gesture or swing her staff about.
    In her left, she is often seen holding said staff as tall as she is. The other arm seems either be wearing a thick arm-length glove in some cases, but in others it seems to be entirely missing... often when her familiar is seen, or off doing their own thing. She stands on digigrade feet, and walks with comfort and class, in that order. And like most kobolds, has a reptilian tail that she often adorns with some kind of ribbon or cloth, easily long enough that it could reach the ground if she ever allowed it to drag at all. What she doesn't do is move about rapidly unless necessary, or make sudden movements that might be a little more characteristic of her kind.
Homeworld
She comes from a coastal town in a fantasy world. There's spooky things, grand creatures, and all kinds of magic! Not a lot of tech though.
History

Owner of La'Twill Designs
Above anything else, she loves to create clothes and cloth items. Her knowledge and skill with fabrics, dyes, and needlework is vast and varied. She takes delight in her profession, and makes it a point to keep up to date on the latest in design and techniques. Her work is often her way to handle stress. Likewise, the ability to sell to and retain repeat clients is part of the job, and has allowed her to live comfortably up until this point.
Professor of Occultism
A job she took after being done with adventuring, her strong social skills allowed her to take up teaching to provide education for future generations of magic users, teaching them about the dark powers that be in her world and the abominations therein. Parts of the job include identification and usage of occult magic, procedure when dealing with the otherworldly, classifications of abominations, teaching proper ritual construction, and testing and reinforcing students' composure when faced with fear and/or the unknown.
Personal
Giggy was always a kobold. Didn't always have a patron, business, adventuring life, teaching job, or even a place to live. Might've had both arms made of flesh and blood at one point though. But she learned, one way or another, to get where she is today mostly on her own, being a mostly-solo kobold. Which is impressive, because most of her kind work in packs, or latch onto a larger, greater creature! Though, in a way, she has done so as well, through her patron - even if she didn't realize at the time the connection was made when it was. She isn't the kind to avoid people, though - she loves being social, and the people she holds most dear are her old adventuring companions.

NakNak - Familiar (Edit)
A very simple draconic plushie by initial appearance, until one sees it moving on its own. (See also: Scalemates) Its color and abilities can vary, depending on the mood of its owner, though it always has two legs, a tail, a squeaker, and a head that is held in place by velcro. It speaks in a nasally voice with the sound of a squeaker mixed in. It's soft, but actually very tough to destroy. Still somewhat flammable.

A wide, but shallow silk purse she can tuck in the waistband of her outfit. Slightly bigger on the inside! Can hold several thick textbooks.

Currently holding several fabric catalogues, an occult textbook regarding the abysses of her world, a number of various denominations of her worlds' coin (gold, a large amount of silver, copper), extra spools of thread and buttons for fixing NakNak, and a fair amount of odds and ends/accumulated purse junk.
Weapons
The Dream Spindle
  • Giggy La'Twill's small signature staff. Those that lay eyes on the delightful colors, ribbons, and glittering spindles and needles dangling from those decorating the staff easily causes a reflexive smile, or at least a slight subdual of sadness or rage. With that, one might miss that the macabre core of the staff is designed around a single digit of dragonbone, comparatively massive to the kobold's. The top has a single velcro pad for her familiar NakNak to ride upon. This acts as a focus for her spellcraft, keyed around witchcraft and occult spells that manipulate perception and emotion. Given its core, it's hard to damage.

    The adamantine knitting needles and sewing needles are not part of the staff's design, merely a convenient holder for them.

    • Description:
      Giggy has had to use her abilities in fights, often with other underground dwellers, magical creatures, and abominations in trial-by-fire/do-or-die scenarios. While this technically isn't any formal training, she has the poise to hold her ground in a fight. Attacks against her mind will falter easily, as will most things she can dodge. However, she is very frail, and cannot sustain any real harm without severe repercussions. She knows this, and will often use NakNak and various misdirecting spells to keep herself out of immediate danger.

      Through her words, demeanor, attire, and magic, she has a social presence much larger than her stature. She's happy to speak, willing to listen, and often will use her magic to awe many a spectator or conversational partner. Sometimes to a supernatural degree.

    While not having much of a formal education, Giggy's spent plenty of time studying her own fields of interest, as well as how to better integrate into society. Is a very learned kobold, and has many read books under her belt, as well as had many years of applying said knowledge.

Witchcraft (Edit)
  • Description:
    Giggy's witchcraft is granted to her by her patron, and NakNak her link to them. Her skill and ability with said power is masterful, though she is also the kind to downplay this due to her desire and need to actually use the full repertoire of spells at her disposal. While her primary go-to spells seem more harmless, either manipulating perceptions via illusions or manipulating emotions outright, the ones that employ fear can be strong enough to actually frighten someone to death, can bring shadows to life to fight for her, contingencies against the magics, and she has a wide variety of powerful hexes and curses at her disposal to humiliate, incapacitate, or outright kill an offender. She's also capable of building rituals for stronger, ongoing magical effects, and crafting useful magical objects - typically of cloth.

    That said, nowadays she rarely uses her magic for straight-up combat, and knows a rather surprising repertoire of spells that are useful in daily life and work - her favorite being one that can re-tailor and redesign existing clothing in under a minute's time. The only exception to what spells she has 'ready' every day is that she always can telepathically control metals into needles to the point of becoming deadly projectiles, always prepares her mind against manipulation or reading, can several times misdirect a person moving fast enough to twist their path in the case where she doesn't like where they're going, and either always curse with fear by a simple look, curse a target that they feel a portion of pain whenever they aggress someone she names, and finally curse so strong that can cause a target to drop dead on the spot.

    Giggy's witchcraft often is visually themed around stitchwork. Sometimes this is more obvious, as indicated by her telepathic control over her needles, or causing dark threads to tie down a target. Othertimes one needs to be the subject of her curses to experience more - often the imagery only appears as hallucinations to her target. A person seen crying out and dropping dead in a heap may have had their final moments believing that spectral threads and needles were busily sewing their every orifice closed before piercing them through the heart like a doll.
  • Limits:
    Recovering her magic requires maintaining her link to her otherworldly patron with daily ritual. This requires that she and NakNak be together at least a few hours every day. If she's ever unable to commune with her familiar while it exists, or if NakNak is destroyed and is unable to create a new poppet for her familiar's spirit to inhabit, she's left with whatever magic she has left and prepared. Furthermore, once she's able to complete her daily rituals, whatever spells she has ready is only what she's expecting for the day. Often she has only an amount of misdirection, illusions, and discouraging measures available than readying her most dangerous spells every day, with the rest of her preparation being suited towards her mundane work or social interaction.

    Many of the spells or more severe curses force her to maintain concentration. Harming or forcing her to act too much otherwise breaks some of her spells. Her longer-lasting ongoing curses often require a token object and a tag of her target to maintain - destroying said token severs the link and the curse.
  • Other:
    Another manifestation of her magical influence is in every object she makes in cloth, though this is in a way an 'offering' to her patron. Any cloth object Giggy makes is very subtly magical, and has the capacity to eat emotional energy to send to her patron. The catch is that these emotions must be 'willingly surrendered'. This does not produce harmful effects in the object's holder.
