Big Stompy
- Old Size: 8'8", 710 lbs.unarmored
- Apparent Age: Unresolved
- Body Type: Bipedal
- Usual Clothing: Plate Armor, leather coverins
- Voice: Eeyore
- Usual Scent: Machinery,leather, brass
- Description:
Brisby is an imposing, hulking mass of metal and leather. He looms just around 9' in height and creaks the boards beneath him as he lumbers about, barely squeezing through doorways. His body evokes images of old diving suits, brass and copper, complete with verdigris adding accents of blue, clad in full-plate armor built and sized specifically for the warforged. The armor is emblazoned with runes that glow a dim blue-green. The seams of his armor and along his joints match this faint glow. His proportions are exaggerated to make him look bulkier, and his face is hidden behind a relatively featureless helmet. The dreadnought is armed with a halberd, worn and battle-scarred, as well as a heavy-gauge spiked chain slung over his shoulder and a thick, hide pack mounted beside the chain. There are scratches and clawmarks up his arms and along his shoulders, as well as small, spot-welded loops that could, for a small creature, serve as handholds while climbing.
Homeworld
Brisby's from a world with mythical beasts, high magic, and arcane constructs, with most technology only bordering on electricity, mostly working with steam or magical power. Where adventuring is in high demand, occasional wars breaking out, and wealths of treasure to be had. It's a pretty good deal if one ignores the massive amounts of hazards in a world like that.

Personal
Brisby has little in regards to memories dating back before meeting the Kobold named Dat. After Dat, it's a blur of adventuring, being used as a jungle gym, and beating the stuffing out of all manner of big angry beasties. The two have a strong working relationship bordering on a familial bond, with Brisby serving as a 'big brother' to the smaller, more spontaneous Dat.
Inventory
Items
Suppressed Adventuring Gear (Edit)
Coming from a magic-rich world, Mr. Brisby has other wondrous items that, unfortunately, don't seem to work anymore (probably because they're not properly attuned to this world's magic). An amulet of Protection, enchanted boots, gloves, and other oddities.
Handy Haversack (Edit)
Like a Bag Of Holding, but handier and sackier.
Starweave-Mythril Composite Shield (Edit)
Very light, very tough, very good shield. Likely made by a captive dragon, looted from hollow knights.
Weapons
Stoneborn Armor
- This armor can, supplied with a charge of magical energy, grant an ablative layer of protection against injury that lasts until the protection is depleted or the armor deactivated. The armor must be inactive for a period of four to eight hours before it can replenish the ablative armor.
Masterwork Halberd (Edit)
- It may have been enchanted at some point, but the trip to infinitas has suppressed any magics it may have had, leaving only a well-crafted, sturdy weapon of war.
A darn good sword (+1?) (Edit)
- Masterwork Sword, possibly +1! Looted from Hollow Knights.
Skills
Combat
- Dreadnought
- Training:
Brisby is a Dreadnought. An archetypical fighter skilled in most forms of armed melee combat, and some archaic ranged combat (throwing weapons, for example) He singles out foes and inhibits their ability to cause his allies harm to the best of his ability.
- Training:
Education
- Uneducated, but still rather smart.
Language
- Common/English
Parnormal Abilities
Being a Warforged (Edit)
- Description:
- Warforged do not need to eat, sleep, drink, or breathe. They are non-biological and as such are immune to disease. Additionally, they are resilient against physical harm, and their minds are difficult to influence.
- Brisby's particular power-source needs at least 4 hours of inactivity per day like people need sleep.
- D&D 4e
Thaumo-Kinetic Generator (Edit)
- Description:
- In the long list of "reasons why not to get in a straight slugfest with Brisby" is his ability to use the kinetic energy of motion to power a minor, magical protection against incoming damage. It doesn't last long, mind, but every swing he takes- even if he misses- is enough to keep the shield powered. If he hits, the shockwaves are enough to increase this protection. The shield extends beyond that of the Stoneborn Armor, and will be depleted before the ablative defenses are used.
- This is, ultimately, "temporary HP". It's enough to shrug off a single attacker if they're incapable of consistently overpowering the shield, but it is certainly not enough to make him invincible.
- D&D 4e, Battlerager Vigor (7 temp hp on swing, 14 on hit.)
Dreadnought (Edit)
- Description:
- Going above and beyond pure martial prowess, Dreadnoughts extend into a realm of supernatural resilience. Brisby can call upon a surge of power to become harder still to injure or defy, revitalize themselves, and move with a sudden, lethal quickness.
- This surge of power is taxing, and can only be called upon once or twice in a day, requiring significant rest and recuperation to regain it.
- 4e, Action point / Dreadnought Action/ Unfailing Courage.
Inexorable (Edit)
- Description:
- The list of "reasons why not to get in a straight slugfest with Brisby" can be summed up farily simply as "We're not sure he can even be killed, let alone knocked down for more than a few seconds." - When severely injured he taps into reserves that make him yet harder to hurt, all the while slowly recovering any progress made past a certain threshold of injury. If, by some miracle, he suffers a mortal wound, which he has before, he grips consciousness, shakes off the initial shock, then simply taps into vital energy to restore himself to fighting shape.
- Knock him down a second time, however, and he'll stay down. Most of the resources he's drawing from are limited to the point of needing hours to replenish.
- 4e, Second Wind, Boundless endurance, Unbreakable, Unyielding Avalanche, Blood Iron, Diehard, Fighters Grit.

Eli | Jan 21, 2016 10:22 PM Re:CS: Brisby Alright, looks good. He's not bulletproof, but it still would probably take several people at once with guns to bring him down. Approved, with the standard boilerplate warning |
