| In a massive lightning strike, Bandits from the Badlands ambushed the train from Arcford to Marsillion, striking at night and under the cover of a storm and time-statis spell. Much of the train was destroyed, though the engine itself survived. The group managed to get away with large amounts of valuables and freight, escaping into the night just before MAF could respond to the scene. Civilian casualties are estimated to be around 39 people, mostly those crushed when the passenger cars were derailed. MAF and Arcford Militia forces casualties were 20 when the car they were in was incinerated. An investigation is ongoing and all train servicecs between ARcford and marsillion have been stopped. Travel advisories have been posted for those going into the badlands, recommending people to avoid it as much as possible. | |
