| In an unanticipated development, a large number of werecreatures turned with last night's full moon and proceeded to be on a bloodlusted rampage. This caught officials by surprise, as most new werecreatures were after the appearance of the Comet, and had not shown signs of such outright aggression with the previous full moon. Though the comet produced many new weres, officials were confident that the existing treatments for lycanthropic ailments would suffice. As last night proved, this is apparently not the case. Many of the moon-affected were-shifters went into a frenzy when the full moon rose last night, injuring, infecting, and killing quite a few bystanders. The MAF was deployed along with guard forces, subduing lycans when possible. Unfortunately, quite a few had to be killed all the same. All the known remaining ones have been detained and sedated for tonight's full moon, but there are likely some that slipped through the cracks. Citizens are advised to be on their guard and remain indoors tonight if possible. | |
