| Now that the dust has settled from the mass migration in, the administration is finally getting into the swing of settling into the new land. One of the realities of this is recognizing that Marsillion is no longer a city - but rather now a metropolitan area consisting of several distinct, independent towns, each with it's own infrastructure. Though distance between these towns is not very long (the longest being 5km between the docks and old north district), it still means that there is travel time involved between each population center. To facilitate this, carriage services have been installed in each town, with regular schedules to the next town to facilitate those that do not wish to travel on foot as much as well as businesses. The below is a brief list of some of the services that one can find in each section of the town. The mayor however, is now polling the general population for suggestions of names for each district, preferably from residents or business owners in those districts. OOCly, if you have anything to add that your PCs may own in any of the districts, please let me know and I will include it in. | John would make submit the following: "Given tight knit shared history of Marsilion and tendency of mammals to breed and expand rapidly, I would suggest simply deciding officially if Marsilion is spelled Marsilion or Marsillion as both have been used interchangeably by general populace. Within a year, enough expansion between the tri-city area will naturally make other question moot." | |
